RIVERSIDE FOLLY

We have looked in most books, but cannot trace either the pattern or the border on this small plate. It is unmarked. The pattern shows a river with a folly-like building on the far shore, but possibly the ruins of something else, as there is at least one chimney to its right. To the left, also on the far bank, is a church. On the near bank, below a waterfall, are two cows, a man with a walking stick and two women in long dresses lounging on a grassy bank. Among the flowers in the border are roses and also something resembling a double passion flower, if such there be. The groups of four leaves are distinctive.
